KBW 2013 Already off to a great start – Highlights from Kingston Bridal Week Media Launch and Sponsors Party

Kingston Bridal Week 2013

Kingston Bridal Week 2013

“If we are going to go big….aim for the top!” So stated Mr. Kibwe McGann, Managing Director of Intuit Concepts, at the Kingston Bridal Week (@kgnbridalweek) Media Launch held at Kushite’s Restaurant (@kushitesC) at 9-11 Phoenix Ave. Kgn.5 on Monday evening.

Meet Team KBW

That was the advice given to him when he thought about how he would re-invent KBW 2013 and in so doing, attract international attention.

Well, eventually the ‘Aha!’ moment came wrapped up in two words: “Randy Fenoli!”. Yes, Mr. Randy Fenoli of popular TLC TV Show “Say Yes to the Dress”, “Randy to the Rescue” and acclaimed author of “It’s All about the Dress.”

Meet Mr. Randy Fenoli

It was a light moment, when Mr. McGann recounted the moment when he contacted Mr.Fenoli and thought “Whoa!” when Mr. Fenoli answered.

Well, we know the result of that call because on Saturday, September 28, KBW patrons will be seeing Mr. Fenoli do what he does best when he makes his special presentation at the Knutsford Court Hotel (@theknutsford) beginning at 2pm in the Grand Caribbean Suite.

And there’s more! In addition to having Mr. Fenoli as special guest and host, international media houses Huffington Post and TEMPO will be represented at KBW 2013 which will ensure that KBW and Brand Jamaica go worldwide.

Models wearing beautiful gowns from Petals & Promises (@PetpromJamaica) teased us with their display heightening our expectations for what is sure to be a spectacular display of wedding dresses.

And talking about wedding gowns, Ms.Tshani Jaja, Marketing Manager for the Jamaica Yellow pages (@jamaica_yp), who along with her son try not to miss an episode of ‘Say Yes to the Dress’, made it very clear that something special is in store for ‘out-of-the-box’ brides-to-be at KBW 2013.

A ‘hint’ was given when she presented each lady in the audience with a beautiful yellow rose. Guess you’ll need to be there to see the ‘big reveal’ yourself. ‘Be where?’ you might ask. At the Bridal Market which will be held at the ‘brand new’ Jamaica Pegasus (@jamaicapegasus) the new home of Kingston Bridal Week. The Bridal Market will take place Friday, September 27 – Sunday, September 29.

Team KBW wants to reassure you that ‘top-notch’ exhibitors will be on display as they made it their duty to diligently search for the best in the business. And that’s just the beginning. Other features to look out for at KBW 2013 include The Man Cave, Bridal Closet, Taste of Kingston and Fashion Shows.

That KBW is already off to a great start was evidenced by the overwhelming response to the Super Dress Sale held at Petals & Promises on Sunday, September 22. By popular demand the dress sale has been held over.

So it seems Team KBW are well on their way to realizing their dream of a bigger, better KBW and giving brides-to-be (and grooms) the opportunity to plan their perfect wedding all in one place and with the best in the business.

See you all at KBW 2013!
